About Abundant numbers

An abundant number is a positive integer for which the sum of its proper divisors is greater than the number itself. For example, 12 has proper divisors 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 summing to 16 > 12.

Key features

  • Every multiple of a perfect or abundant number (greater than the number) is abundant.
  • The smallest abundant number is 12.

Examples:

12, 18, 20, 24, 30
